This is especially true for a robust and complex software such as After Effects CS6. My first suggestion is to start with a training video for the software of your choice. I get many emails asking for the best way to begin learning a new software such as After Effects. You will discover how to troubleshoot and avoid common problems, and then how to create finished movie files. You’ll learn a range of compositing features, including the new variable-width masks and 3D camera tracker features introduced in After Effects CS6, as well as basic masking and color keying. They'll explain how to configure After Effects for optimum performance, focusing on the global performance cache and persistent disk cache features added in After Effects CS6. The presenters will give you an overview of the workflow and the user interface, and then you will learn how to bring assets into After Effects. This course will not only show you the basics of After Effects, it also teaches you what you'll need to know to take your skills to the next level. The DVD-ROM is bundled with a printed brook that provides supplemental material to enhance the video training. Project files used in the lessons are included on the disc so viewers can practice what they’ve learned, and interactive review questions help reinforce freshly gained knowledge. The unique Watch-and-Work mode shrinks the video into a small window to allow the student to work alongside in After Affects. The video is wrapped in a unique interface that allows the viewer to jump to any topic and also bookmark individual sections for later review. Experienced instructors Todd Kopriva and Angie Taylor present 10 hours of high quality HD video, complete with lesson files, assessment quizzes and review materials. A silly story that doesn’t bombard you with long cutscenes or dialogue, really funny stuff for what is there, but mostly it’s just focused on raw gameplay with a dynamic difficulty system, as well as a ton of different jabs and strikes and uppercuts and other kinds of moves that you can completely customize into your own combos and button configs that add a lot of depth to it. Basically it’s a 3D beat-em-up from before Clover became Platinum and between it and Ōkami, basically two polar opposites in tone, it may well be my favorite by them. God Hand I think is a bit more well known now, I don’t really know about back when it was first released other than that IGN gave it a 3 but apparently they were an outlier. The only thing is it’s a bit of a harder sell with some of the gameplay feeling awful, but for me personally the story was one of my favorites of its genre. Basically, take the time system from Majora’s Mask and make the entire game based around the NPCs quirks and schedules. One in particular was Chulip, a very strange game but the basic premise was that you had to go around kissing everyone in town in some weird effort to learn how to woo your crush. But I guess I’ll try despite not knowing whether these were actually ever unknown or not. I’m afraid I probably don’t have much to offer, especially having only had a Dreamcast very briefly and only really getting into PS2 games after the popularity died down, much of my time with it at first being spent almost exclusively in GTA: San Andreas. I’m paraphrasing, of course, but these are very-nearly the exact words of an Electronic Arts executive describing how to build the hydrogen bomb of video games. The line from Burnout Paradise to Star Wars Battlefront II ($ out of 5 stars) is straighter than you might believe.
